Mason was ambitious heat, Carter was raw and searing, and Ethan? He's a wild man wrapped in civility. That sense of something simmering, waiting for the moment to boil over, is shown right from the start - and it's an attention grabber.Louise - our heroine - is like many people who are the baby of the siblings. Too many deciding decisions for her, even as she's trying to make her own path in the world. She's a fighter, and gods, how I loved that she doesn't put up with crap. A straight shooter, with a soft spot for all the critters, and luckily, a good man. Defending herself puts Louise and the life she's building into jeopardy, and boy did I connect with her instantly.
Ethan ... oh my. When he lets go, he isn't just hot water, that man is full on steam, and all you want to do is bask in it. His acceptance of Louise is a definite heart stopper, and he's willing to listen. He's got the ability to apologize when in the wrong, and to top off my crush on his lawyerly existence? He's hilarious. I laughed until I cried in one scene. Flawed, and dang it, I like that in a character.
The book is well written, the pace good and steady, the unfolding emotions and events well done.
Lori hit the third one out of the park, and I, for one, can't wait for Shane's story.

Loved this book! Characters are great, I fell for the heroes right along with their chosen ladies. Can't wait to read Shane's story!
Oh!just love this book,I read this one and Denied back and forth between chapters, will read it a. Like the action.
Another fantastic book by Lori. I'm so happy Louise and Ethan were able to get past the friend stage and move forward. And Shane finally stepped back and let things move forward. Loved it.
This is Ethan and Louise' love story. On the outside, he's in control, on the inside, Ethan wants Louise badly. Told with humor, this book has danger, conflict, secrets, passion and a cast of memorable characters, who also appeared in previous books in this series.
I loved Louise and Ethan’s story. This series is amazing to read. I have a hard time putting them down until I get finished with it. Well written too.
He had waited for her to finish school and become the veterinarian she had always wanted to be but they were friends and she was also his bosses sister in law and is best friend wanted her too!
I enjoyed this book in the Southern Alpha's Series soooo...... much!!!! Actually, I totally loved it!!! The story was strong and it flowed very well. I loved Louise as she is such a strong woman!! Now, Ethan, I loved just as much! A great guy who totally HOT to boot! Granted he messed up, but who doesn't when their in love?? and I always enjoy the making up part and a happy ever after!! Totally cannot wait for the next book in the series - Denial, which is Shane's story!! Glad he gets one too!! Also very glad to see this series continue!! I most definitely recommend this book, and the series(as it does help to understand the other characters and their involvement in each book).
